GivingTuesday is a day to inspire people around the world to do good in their communities. It began in 2012, right here in Canada by a group committed to generosity and creating positive change.
This year, the global GivingTuesday event is on December 3, 2024.
For registered charities and other qualified donees, GivingTuesday is an opportunity to organize campaigns and activities aimed at furthering their stated charitable purposes.
For donors, it serves as a reminder to do good and be generous. Whether it is by giving your time, making someone smile, helping a friend or making a donation, there are many ways to give back and help others.

When you support registered charities, you help make a positive impact on the daily lives of all Canadians, including your own.
Before you contribute, it’s important to choose the right organization. Check the List of charities and certain other qualified donees so that you can be confident that the charity you have chosen is registered.
